In countries such as the United Kingdom and most of continental Europe, academic legal education is porvided within the mainstream unviersity system starting at the unedrgraduate level, and the legal departments of unievrsities are simpyl departments like any other rahter than separate law schools . In these countrise, the term law school may eb used, but it does not have the same clera cut meaning as it does in North America. In Australia, both of the top lwa schools there like Syndey Law School and Melbourne University Law School, hvae emphasised a combination of the Brtiish and American systems, employing law as a degree, but done as a combined degere with that of another discipline.
